Equity Scorecard

The Equity Scorecard is a joint project developed by representatives from the Equity Council and Fayette County Public Schools in an effort to assess the current degree of equity in our school district. The goal is to eliminate race, free or reduced lunch status, disability and gender as predictors of success in school.

The established baseline data for the six indicators, when reviewed collectively, provide us a measure. By comparing this data to that of subsequent years, we will be able to measure changes in the degree of equity in our school system.

The data reflect progress in some areas, but it is also apparent that our journey is far from over. The numbers demand attention.

History has shown that factual data often has a powerful effect on parents, faculty members, administrators, counselors and community advocates and on their  motivation to eliminate disparities. We know it will take all of us working in concert to achieve success for all kids.
