The Equity Council monitors and analyzes equity issues, advises the Fayette County Board of Education and advocates for achievement for all students. We are advocates for all children regardless of their background and circumstances, and we represent the equity conscience of the community.
- The Equity Council Committee, a standing committee of the Fayette County Board of Education, approved this “standards of practice” agreement by unanimous vote on May 17, 2016. This document outlines 14 agreements drafted during a retreat with Superintendent Manny Caulk, school board Chairwoman Melissa Bacon, and board member Daryl Love.
The Equity Council generally gathers at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday unless there's a conflict like Election Day or Spring Break. The meetings are in conference room C of "It's About Kids" Support Services, 701 E. Main St. They are televised live on cable Channel 13 and are available through Video on Demand.
