What we do:

The Early Start staff and the district’s early childhood gap intervention specialist collaborate on various projects to serve the young children and families of Fayette County.  

Early Start is the state-funded preschool program. Registration and enrollment are through the Early Start office at “It’s About Kids” Support Services. The gap intervention specialist works with the Early Start staff, child care programs, families and community agencies to connect the early childhood community. The gap specialist also focuses on preparing families and children for the transition to kindergarten.
