The office of Superior Customer Service and Community Relations plans and hosts various special events to recognize accomplishments across our school district. Among them:

Calendar art competition

Schools are invited to submit original student artwork for consideration in the district's calendar and family handbook. Our students' work is displayed in a gallery showing, and a panel of community judges selects the 14 pieces to be featured in the following year's calendar. 

FAME Awards

Graduating seniors are encouraged to nominate a favorite teacher, coach or mentor who has made a difference in their lives. Student-teacher pairs, selected on the strength of the essay submissions, are invited to a program honoring the special influence an educator can have on the lives of the students they serve. This event is sponsored by PNC Bank.

Ninth-Grade Improvement Awards

Each high school is invited to nominate ninth-graders who have put forth extra effort to get back on the path to success. The freshmen are invited to a dinner in their honor, and the district-level winners receive special gifts courtesy of Pomeroy and HP.

Retirement celebration

All FCPS employees who are retiring are invited to a springtime celebration and dinner.
