The Child Care Council was established in 1984 as a part of a national network of nonprofit agencies that provide early care and education resources to providers, families and the community. Its mission is to serve as an advocate for safe, affordable and developmentally appropriate child care.

The Community Action Council is dedicated to combating poverty by offering opportunities for low-income people to achieve self-sufficiency and providing services so that each community member and family is able to reach their full potential.
