Community Partners

Hundreds of partnerships and mentoring activities are active at various levels in the Fayette County Public Schools. 

The Community Partners Leadership Team organizes, guides and monitors the ongoing work of school/community partnerships, and serves as a link between the community and the school district.

BEN logo The Business & Education Network is an online portal that connects you to volunteer opportunities within the Fayette County Public Schools. As a business professional in the community, you can bring relevancy into the classroom by sharing your time, knowledge and expertise. You indicate how you’d like to interact with education. When an opportunity matches your interests, you’ll be notified. Simple, easy, connected!

P for Youth logoPartners for Youth is a community coalition that works to improve the lives of economically disadvantaged youth and serves as the clearinghouse for local youth serving agencies. Our mission is to promote positive youth development and to prevent juvenile delinquency through collaboration and capacity building.

Big Bro logo Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. We have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people.

Health DeptThe programs and services of the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department cover a wide variety of needs related to citizens' health and well-being. When you eat at a restaurant, relax in a health club hot tub, pick up your child from the day-care center, or send your child to school, you are benefitting from activities of the health department.

Child Care Council logoThe Child Care Council was established in 1984 as a part of a national network of nonprofit agencies that provide early care and education resources to providers, families and the community. Its mission is to serve as an advocate for safe, affordable and developmentally appropriate child care.

Comm Action Council logoThe Community Action Council is dedicated to combating poverty by offering opportunities for low-income people to achieve self-sufficiency and providing services so that each community member and family is able to reach their full potential.
