Communications and Community Relations

What we do:

The Office of Communications and Community Relations is a welcoming face and voice for the Fayette County Public Schools. We aim to keep everyone informed of districtwide news and events and to spotlight interesting people and programs in our schools.  We produce Stu's News, Web feature articles, news releases, the annual district calendar and other informational publications. Our office also celebrates the achievements of students and staff through a variety of recognition programs and special events. In addition, we handle all media relations and promote FCPS in the community at large. And we provide support for our schools in safety-related and emergency situations as well as routine communications matters.

How to find us:

Our offices are in room 103 of "It's About Kids" Support Services, 701 E. Main St., Lexington, KY 40502. The main phone number is (859) 381-4108, and the fax number is (859) 381-4106. After hours, call Lisa Deffendall at (859) 699-1441.
