One Community, One Voice

Every Child on the Same Page

Every Child on the Same Page logoEvery Child on the Same Page is a community-wide program that seeks to nurture a love of reading among children and to ensure every child in Lexington is proficient in reading by the end of the third grade. The campaign was born out of the work of the One Community, One Voice Committee, which spent more than a year studying the issue of the achievement gap in the Fayette County Public Schools.

The committee's full report is available for download (Adobe Acrobat document). Please note that the file is quite large and may take a while to download.

Newsletter

One Community, One Voice now publishes a quarterly community newsletter targeted to parents of students in the district. It's About Parents contains information about programs and services that support school success. It is full of practical guidance on what parents can do to be actively involved in the education process of their children. View the current issue (September 2007) now. (Adobe Acrobat document)
