Gifted & Talented

We provide services for exceptional children in:

  • General intellectual ability
  • Specific academic aptitude (language arts, math, science, social studies, and total/partial battery)
  • Creativity
  • Leadership
  • Visual / performing arts (drama, dance, music, visual arts)

The gifted and talented selection process requires informal documentation and standardized assessments as appropriate. Kids in grades K-3 are informally selected for the primary talent pool. Students in grades 4-12 are formally identified for gifted and talented services.

In addition to services provided for gifted and talented students at their home schools, the district offers several specialized gifted and talented programs.
