ACT scores

The ACT is a well-known college entrance exam often used as a barometer of rigor and achievement in high schools. The exam consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science – each scored on a scale of 1-36. The composite score is the average of the four tests, with a maximum 36. ACT scores are accepted by virtually all U.S. colleges and universities.

The Kentucky Department of Education now requires all students to take the ACT in the spring of their junior year.
